Which major part of the brain actively receives sensory impulses from various distinct receptors and intricately integra

the human brain as the highest and most complex coordinating centre of the body. Together with the spinal cord, it constitutes the Central Nervous System (CNS), which receives information from all parts of the body and integrates it. The brain is broadly divided into three major regions: the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. The forebrain acts as the main thinking part, handling complex voluntary actions, interpreting sensory information from various receptors, and storing memories. In contrast, a multitude of involuntary actions are seamlessly controlled by the midbrain and hindbrain. Specifically, the medulla, a part of the hindbrain, manages vital involuntary functions such as blood pressure, salivation, and vomiting. Additionally, another hindbrain structure, the cerebellum, is responsible for the precision of voluntary actions and strictly maintaining body posture and overall equilibrium during activities like walking or riding a bicycle. The forebrain performs this crucial task, receiving widespread sensory data and integrating it seamlessly with previously stored memories.
