#Speed and Radius

1 public question tagged with this topic.

In uniform circular motion, what happens to the object’s motion if its speed doubles while the radius remains constant?

Velocity v=v₀+at. Starting from rest, v=at. With a=(ax i+ay j), magnitude |v|=t√(ax²+ay²) per NCERT vector addition. Substituting ax, ay, t gives |v| equal to Centripetal acceleration increases fourfold. Hence option D is correct.
