A solution contains 6 g of a solute (molar mass = 120 g/mol) in 300 mL of solution. What is the molarity?
Moles of solute = (6/120) = 0.05 mol . Volume = 300 mL = 0.3 L. Molarity = (0.05/0.3) ≈ 0.1667 M .
